Meet Emily

Hi, I'm Emily!

I am passionate about working with people to help them overcome subconscious barriers and be the best they can be.

After completing an English degree and Masters at Birmingham University I began persuing this passion for working with people and undertook training in counseling at Warwick University and then Newman University in Birmingham in 2009. I soon began working as a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner for a leading UK charity, where I worked wth individuals one-to-one and also developed and delivered group support programmes on self-esteem and anxiety, helping peope to break free from substance misuse and build a life they loved.

This work confirmed my passion for working with people to help them be the best they can be, not just in relation to substace misuse but in relation to ALL unwanted behaviours, reactions and feelings. But I knew there was more that could be done to help people to overcome the subconscious behaviours and reactions that were holding them back and causing such suffering.

Having seen the benefits of curative hypnotherapy for myself personally, I knew that this was the therepeutic approach that I wanted to specialise in.

I began studying with Helen Lesser at The Hypnotherapy Training College (Birmingham) in 2011 and have been a practicing curative hypnotherapist since qualifying in 2012.

Following these many years experince as a hypnotherapist, I am currently evolving my way of working by studying part-time for a Masters qualification in Psychotherapy at Birmingham Newman University. Ultimately, my hope is that this will further enhance what I am able to offer to clients in the future. becoming a student again has also been a wonderful excuse to buy some fantastic stationery for myself!

I continue to run my successful hypnotherapy practice from my private treatment room in Malvern, 4 days per week. Over the years I have helped hundreds of individuals across the UK to finally free themselves from issues such as over-eating, anxiety, OCD, phobias, intrusive thoughts and much more and I am really proud of my local reputation as a respected and professional therapist.

I know how it feels to seek therapy....

I am an experienced hypnotherapist but I have also been a 'therapee' too! I have personally benefited hugely over the years from having curative hypnotherapy, counselling and psychotherapy, so I understand both sides.

I fully appreciate how daunting it can be to reach out for help and to embark on a new type of therapy. But I have also seen (both professionally and personally) just how beautifully empowering and life-changing this can ultimately be.

Above all, therapy is a deeply personal experience and I wholeheartedly believe that is important for everyone to find the right approach and the right therapist for them. That 'right fit' might not be me - and that is totally fine! I really welcome any questions and enquiries about whether my style of working might be the right for you, always with a no hard-sell approach.

I look forward to hearing from you.
